Vann Ag Ed Resources
About Me
I am a former Agricultural Science teacher and FFA advisor who now serves as a Career and Technical Education Director in Texas. Agricultural Education has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up as the son of an Ag teacher and spent six years teaching Agricultural Science and advising FFA members before moving into CTE administration.
Teaching Style
My classroom approach has always centered on making Agricultural Education practical, engaging, and connected to the real world. I believe students learn best when they understand why something matters and have an opportunity to apply what they are learning. The resources in this store were developed from actual classroom lessons, activities, FFA experiences, and projects I used with students, not simply created for sale.
Agricultural Education & FFA Experience
I taught Agricultural Science and served as an FFA Advisor at Byron Nelson High School and Decatur High School. I also served as an Area FFA Leadership Development Coordinator and previously served as a Texas FFA State Officer. Those experiences gave me the opportunity to work with students across classroom instruction, leadership development, FFA, and Career Development Events.
Education & Background
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Leadership and Development from Texas A&M University and my Master of Science in Agricultural and Consumer Resources with teacher certification from Tarleton State University. I hold a Texas teaching certificate in Agricultural Science for grades 6 through 12.
Why I Share Resources
Ag teachers already have plenty on their plates. My goal is to share resources that can save another teacher some time while still providing meaningful instruction for students. Many of these materials come directly from things I created and used during my own years in the Ag classroom. If something I built years ago can make another Ag teacher’s week a little easier, I consider that a win.
