Introduction to Agriculture is one in a series of Just the Facts (JTF) textbooks created by the National Agricultural Institute - a new approach to textbooks. All chapter PowerPoint presentations are available for download by using a QR code or URL on the first page of the book. Chapter 1 contains a brief history of agriculture. Chapters 2-8 cover introductory material for soil science. Chapters 9-17 cover introductory plant science including an intro to crops grown. Chapters 18-29 provide an intro to animal science, including types of livestock production. Chapter 30 discusses issues in agriculture while 31 introduces careers in agriculture, food and natural resources. Finally, chapter 32 outlines various government agencies and programs affecting agriculture. Includes a glossary. Total pages 392.
